Question: I have upsized my Access database. But when I try to link SQL Server table 'OrdersLongTableNameAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA61characters' Access generates error. Why do I get error 'dbo_OrdersLongTableNameAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA61characters' is not a valid name. Make sure it does not include invalid characters or punctuation and that it is not too long'?
It is a limitation of ODBC for all version of Access. Rename SQL Server table from 'OrdersLongTableNameAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA61characters' to 'OrdersLongTableNameAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA60character'. Length of the linked table name in Access should not exceed 60 characters.
